Since they refuse to compromise on quality, Aetna CVS Health has decided to leave the Individual & Family Plans (IFP) market starting January 1, 2026.
This change only affects Individual & Family Plans. If you have an Aetna group insurance through work, your coverage should remain unaffected.
What to do if you’re affected by Aetna CVS Health leaving market
If you have individual health insurance through Aetna, your coverage will remain the same for the rest of the year. However, you will not be able to renew your coverage as of January 1, 2026 and will need to choose a new plan during open enrollment.
The open enrollment period lasts from November 1 to December 31. During that time, you’ll have to choose a new health insurance plan if you want to maintain your coverage.
