Reno Walgreens no longer offering 24-hour service
If you need to get a prescription filled in Reno, Nevada after business hours, you have to go to Walgreens. At least, that was true until February 22nd, 2024. The pharmacy chain announced that they would no longer offer 24-hour service in the Reno area.
With Walgreens reducing their hours, it left Reno — which is largely considered a “24-hour city” — without a 24-hour pharmacy. Residents had to wait for regular opening hours to fill prescriptions and get the medication they need.
Renown Pharmacy, Reno
As of April 29th, 2024, Renown Pharmacy in Reno has announced that they will be open “all hours, around the clock” to fill the service gap. Patients can now fill their prescriptions post-discharge at any time of day or night, ensuring they can rest and start to heal quickly after procedures. This change will also allow community members the opportunity to pick up prescriptions at a time that’s most convenient for them.
Renown Pharmacy is located at 75 Pringle Way, Reno, Nevada on the first floor of Renown Regional Medical Center — near the Starbucks. They specialize in hard-to-find pharmaceuticals at lower costs, including certain compound medications that can’t be found at other retail locations.
