Sign up for Part A and B of Medicare
The first step to getting the new Renown Medicare Advantage plan is to make sure you are signed up for Original Medicare. To do that you will go to the Social Security Administration’s website and click “apply for Medicare only”. Once you complete that step you are ready to apply for Renown Preferred Plan.

The new plan that renown has come out with starting in 2021 is called the Renown Preferred Plan. This plan will be replacing the plan by Senior Care Plus. Access to Renown’s Network
When you apply for the Renown Plan you are getting Hometown Health’s large network of doctors with it. This list of doctors gives you access to the largest trauma center in the Reno/Sparks area as well as access to eleven different urgent cares. You can search for your doctor here on Hometown Health’s website.
When is it available?
Medicare with Hometown Health will be available this coming Annual Enrollment Period. The Annual Enrollment Period lasts from October 15th to December 7th. During that time, you will be able to look at all the benefits the plan has to offer and sign up for it to start the first of the year.
