Prominence Health Plan, a local insurance company in Northern Nevada, built two new medical facilities that can be exclusively used by their insured members. Both facilities are called the Prominence Care Center. These facilities are a part of the Vera Whole Health network, a national organization aiming to improve the quality of care at the doctor’s office.
There are two new Prominence Care Centers in Northern Nevada. However, these facilities accept visitors by appointment only. Because of this, the wait time is minimal. Also, doctors will spend more time with you talking to about your health needs so your health care team understands what is best for you. With most doctor’s offices offering short and impersonal visits with a physician, these Prominence Care Centers are revolutionizing health care. As a result, you will have access to a personalized care team at the Prominence Care Center.

Available Services
The new Prominence Care Centers can provide a wide range of services at their facilities. Above all, they have a dedicated staff of Primary Care Physicians on-site. These Primary Care Physicians can take care of the following:
- Annual Evaluations
- Episodic Care
- Chronic Disease Management
- Pediatrics
- And much more!
In addition to these services, the Prominence Care Centers will reduce your wait time at the doctor by offering additional services. Some of these additional services include an on-site laboratory and pharmacy. The lab can administer basic lab tests, injections, and immunizations. Also, the pharmacy stocks basic generic prescriptions for patients. There are also wellness coaches at the Prominence Care Center to make sure you are staying physically and mentally healthy.
Northern Nevada Locations
As of today, there are only two locations for the Prominence Care Center in Northern Nevada. Prominence Health Plan is hoping to partner with Vera and build more in the upcoming years. As a local insurance carrier, Prominence is making strides in reducing the wait time at the doctor by building more facilities. To visit the Prominence Care Centers, please make sure your health plan accepts them as an in-network facility.
